I am a motivated student seeking a summer work experience opportunity at Mathnasium, where I can support and help children to improve their mathematical abilities. I have a lot of experience working with children and enjoy helping others. I have completed both Maths and Additional Maths in GCSEs and will continue Maths in A-Level.

Academics

• UKMT Maths Challenges: Since the beginning of my time at the senior school, I have consistently achieved a gold medal award (and the best in the year) for the national Junior and Intermediate Maths Challenges. Additionally, I have consistently managed to progress from this to the Kangaroo Challenge every time as well, helping me to strengthen my abilities on a higher level.

Tutoring and Mentorship

• Tutoring: I tutored younger students in my school in Maths, English, Science, Music and Computer Science.

Academic Competitions:

• Maths FEAST: I represented the school in the Maths FEAST event, where I contributed to the Second place that our team achieved. This greatly reinforced my analytical abilities and the ability to remain level-headed whilst working under pressure, and delivering an accurate and efficient solution.
• Hans Woyda Competition: I was invited to participate in the mathematical Hans Woyda competition and would attend the weekly sessions
• British Informatics Olympiad: I was invited to attend the prestigious British Informatics Olympiad meeting every week, in order to complete the Olympiad later in the year, which has improved my proficiency in resolving computational problems of great complexity.

Volunteering and Tutoring

• Maths Surgery: I volunteered at the Maths Surgery at school every Friday, tutoring students who struggle in maths, which has helped me to develop my communication skills, whilst also helping other students to benefit and thrive in our school community
