I have recently completed my A-levels at Blessed Thomas Holford College and I'm now looking for an Apprenticeship in Finance. I've really enjoyed studying Business studies A Level. It's giving me a foundation and I already have a basic understanding of business concepts which I'm hoping I can transfer to the business workplace. Studying Philosophy has helped develop my critical thinking , problem solving and ethical decision making which really benefits in the working world. My study of Sociology has also been useful to help me understand society trends and behaviours..
I am confident that my vibrant personality and optimistic attitude will help me excel in any workplace and situation. My ambition fuels my self motivation to achieve success and consistently perform at my best. I am deeply passionate and enthusiastic about learning and I am committed to excelling in my career.

  • In July I did work experience at HSO which helps businesses modernise their operations
  • Throughout this time, I worked in the finance department of the company and I had introductions to all parts of the business such as human resources learning how they introduce the employees to the organisation and focus on their wellbeing
  • I also spoke with the IT department where they showed me how they keep the business safe and protected from viruses/scams
  • They do this by using a website which secures all your passwords and makes them safe as well as carrying out test drills of what to do in case a scammer tries to hack the business
  • I also talked to the payroll administrator of the whole company where she explained how to calculate tax and pension as well as expenses
  • This work experience helped me to understand the company and how they stay on top of everything to ensure the business survives.

  • Part time work in hospitality has offered me the ability to balance work and college time
  • Through this job I have developed skills such as communication, the ability to work well under pressure, active listening and good customer service as I ensured service at a professional standard
  • I help manage the restaurant and organise the staff rota and liaise with the accountant to ensure everyone was paid on time
  • This has given me valuable experience of this huge sector, developing both my teamwork and leadership skills.

  • Completed Bronze Duke of Edinburgh award
  • Volunteered as a youth worker at Nacro Manchester, an adventure club for supporting young people to have access to outdoor education and activities that support new friendships and team working skills The aim of improving their mental and physical health as well as their emotional wellbeing. I see this as a big achievement as you can see children become more confident.
  • I have worked in hospitality for almost three years where I would be given responsibilities such as the staff rota's and organising the new menus as well as changing all of the prices of the till.
  • I was given employee of the month four times in a year.
  • Volunteered at the brownies for many years.

Hobbies and interests

  • I enjoy travelling and fortunately have been able to see all over the world where I have experienced different cultures and beliefs and really enjoyed learning new things.
  • I often attend the gym where I take part in the exercise classes. I particularly enjoy circuits and boxercise as well as running.
  • I also love to read as it's very relaxing. My favourite author is Colleen Hoover as her books contain a lot of plot twists and are a very easy read.
  • I spend a lot of my spare time with my friends and family , I enjoy going out for meals and love going to the cinema
