- i initially started as a kitchen porter/food runner for the cafe when i was 14. as i got older more responsibility was given to me. i know am one of the most experienced staff there meaning i am able to operate the till take charge of difficult situations and multi-task on the job. i primarily work in the kitchen as a commis chef. I am in charge of my own section and i have to oversee and ensure that the food we provide is up to standard and is delivered to the correct table.

I have had the pleasure of working with Kai in our kitchen for many years, both as his co-worker and as his chef.
He is a fast learner with a high work ethic and seemed always interested in wanting to try new tasks.
He’s reliable and always on time, his prep work is always done to standard and ready for service. During which he’s calm and kept up no problem whilst communicating with the rest of our team.
When it comes to cleaning Kai was exceptional, his station was clean and organised and he managed to close efficiently and thoroughly.
