I'm a bubbly individual who is always committed and up for a challenge. I always bring a happy and
positive attitude wherever I go and hope that I can bring this to the workplace. I have excellent time
management skills and can work in specific time frames if needed. I also work well under pressure and won't
leave anything unfinished and I feel this is a bad habit to fall into. Listening to other individuals ideas is a
great way to learn new skills which is why I love working within a team.
I have been out of work for a couple of years due to mental health. However, I have support in place with my Doctor and therapist and I'm ready to get back into work. I am available to start work immediately.
I worked in the fraud department of the car insurance company First Central, where we focused on reviewing customers' policies. It was my job to ensure the information that was given to the company from the policyholders was accurate to ensure that the customers' premiums were correct. This was a very meticulous job, but essential to make sure our customers were covered correctly in the possibility there was a claim to be made. We had specific days called “call days” where we spoke to customers over the
phone, answering any questions that they had about their premium. However, we still had to call customers daily as some information we needed from them had to be discussed over the phone. We had targets each day depending on the type of job you were doing, which were expected to be met by the end of the day, which I never found a problem
with achieving the goals set for me.
I would regularly care for the residents who lived in the care home. I worked in the late evenings, which meant I helped with assisting with bed and nighttime duties. As I worked with the same residents who lived there, I managed to form a few
connections and could meet the requirements of each individual's needs but respecting their dignity whilst doing so.
I would also ensure the home was kept clean and made sure rooms of the residents were tidy.
I worked on a Respiratory Assessment Unit based in City Hospital, where I worked with an array of different people. Patients stayed for a maximum of four days, so I continuously met new people daily. Due to the ward being an assessment unit, I carried out lots of jobs throughout the day with a strict schedule. I would help assist with basic needs such as bathing
and dressing. I would also do regular observations on patients, including a full assessment when a new patient had been administered. However, I would also
assist patients when moving them to other wards or to have X-rays done. I made sure the wards' cleanliness was kept up to par by regularly cleaning the key points
such as doors, desks, etc. Also, making sure the equipment trolly was always full and beds where cleaned then made.
I understood the importance of my role within the workplace as the jobs I carried out for my patients were personal. I always respected their dignity and promoted independence, remembering that the patients' safety comes first.
