I have three job roles in my current setting. My morning job is school office administrator. This role consists of :

  • Handling telephone calls with professionalism, efficiency and courtesy.
  • Greeting students and parents, dealing with any potential issues with professionalism and empathy should it be necessary.
  • Ensuring that the essential daily administration tasks are completed promptly.
  • Send out communications, reply to emails and delegate messages to the correct personnel.


My job as HLTA requires that I cover classes due to teacher absence when required. I cover staff PPA five afternoons a week. I teach French across upper and lower KS2. I also teach Computing, Art and PE.


I am one of the admin leads for our current reading scheme within school, Accelerated Reader. This involves ensuring all the students, across the school, are reading at the appropriate level. Setting up screening dates that review each pupils progress, collaborating reports and liaising with the class teachers across KS1 and KS2. I also deal with any administrative issues that arise.

Within the school, I also manage the library system. The system we use is Reading Cloud. I manage the whole library from inputting new student data to issue them with the required personal barcode so they can borrow books. I input the details onto the library system of any new books and mark them up accordingly. I also deal with all administrative issues, such as lost or overdue books.

My role as Breakfast and After School Club Manager includes, menu planning, food shopping, costing and control to work within a reasonable budget. Staff rota and staff wellbeing. Activity planning and ensuring the resources are available. Daily register recording, helping parents with bookings using the Parent mail system. Adhering to all safeguarding legislation, health and safety and first aid.

I am also First Aid Lead across the school.
