Exercised leadership and sound judgement in managing a misinformation crises at UN peacekeeping radio in South Sudan, in 2008, by leading a 16-member team to counter false rumours and help avert an imminent inter-communal violence between two rival tribes, the Dinkas and the Nueirs. My team under my instructions took a rapid measure to interview the leaders of the two groups on a live broadcast to ask their followers to de-escalate. The prompt act prevented a certain bloodshed on that day.
