Care Worker

Family Health Centre
2022.03 - 2022.05
  • Before gaining professional health care assistant experience, I provided care and support for my elderly grandmother. This hands-on experience caring for someone vulnerable inspired me to pursue a career in health care. I undertook my nurse aid placement at KG 6 hospital, and I worked under the supervision of the nurse in charge on duty, and my role is to assist with day-to-day activities of the patients. I have learnt to monitor patients’ physical observations, i.e., blood pressure, oxygen etc. I was engaging in regular conversation with patients to maintain positive health and wellbeing. During my placement, I have learnt to build strong relationships and encouraged trust with the patients by providing continuous support and delivering best possible care. I was supporting health care colleagues with all aspects of patient care. I continued with care work at a family health care centre and my duties were the same as above from Jan 2023 till to date, I also have a UK driving licence which could be beneficial caring role.
