2023 I attended a meeting with the HSE and the Senior SHEQ Manager to discuss RIDDOR reported Occupational Health Diseases. Particular focus by the HSE was on the companies Policies and Procedures.  I was commended by the HSE for the companies policies and procedures, and the control measures for dealing with monitoring Occupational Health Diseases. The HSE recommended our procedures should be shared with the Construction Industry, to help further educate and reduce the amount of occupation health diseases reported under RIDDOR, which in turn helps reduce the amount of exposure to the site based employees.

Suicide and Mental Health is a particular field that I am passionate about, through conversation, I offer when needed advice and guidance and try to break down the stigma of mental health.

Knowing that workers in construction are at some of the highest risk of suicide in the country, with rates in the industry over three times higher than the national average, I empower myself as and when required to make time to listen, understand and offer suitable guidance, 

I am the only Manager at my current workplace to be recognised with commendation, for identifying a mental health issue before ..........??
