
I have a varied list of experiences within the world of work, but one common thread runs through them all - I am a 'people person' and love interacting and communicating well with people of all ages and backgrounds.
From school I became a bank clerk and progressed through that role for 17 years. In the last 3 years with Barclays Bank Plc., I worked part time as I completed a full time Degree Course in English and History, as a progression towards achieving my dream of being a Primary Teacher. On passing my B.A. Honours with a 2:1 grade, I went on the complete my Post Graduate Certificate in Primary Education.
I have a real enthusiasm for teaching and this enthusiasm was passed to my pupils, making their learning experience both exciting and enjoyable. It is vital to be a Caring and supportive Teacher, who is committed to creating a motivating and inspiring learning environment.
With 20 years experience in the classroom I am able to to provide individualised support to all pupils and build positive and supportive relationships with all pupils and their families.
Since finishing in the classroom, I worked for 18 months as a Contact Advisor for NHS Test Trace and Protect Service, wanting to play a small part in helping to control the spread of the Pandemic.
In recent months I have worked part time in a retail setting, which I really enjoyed, but I know that I am now ready to return to the classroom and continue to follow the role I love, educating and supporting the children in my locality.
I have worked as a Primary Teacher across both Key Stages for 20 years During this time I have worked effectively as part of a professional team and can work well independently also I have mentored and managed teaching assistants and supported and mentored Teaching Students over a number of years
I believe my role is to support the whole child, not only focusing on their education, but also their well-being and personal development

I planned effective and interesting lessons in line with school policy and the National Curriculum
My classroom management was always firm but fair and I always provided a listening ear to my pupils

I am able to deliver Welsh as a second language, having completed my GCSE in Welsh in my first year of teaching,
I am organised and am always well prepared in readiness for all lessons I am also proactive and happy to support pupil-led learning
I have worked with many children with additional educational needs and have been able to support them to achieve their potential in the classroom I have also supported More Able children to achieve their potential also
For me there is no greater joy than seeing a child make progress, however small that step may be It is a privilege to work with children and see them grow and to foster a love of learning, which will carry them out into the wider world
