Julie Nugent

• Responsible for supporting, leading and advising Practitioners on a day-to-day basis to manage service users' risk to themselves and/or others. Ensuring clinical records and data input are completed to the highest standard.
• Attending and advising in formal safeguarding settings including the Multi-Agency Risk Assessment Conference (MARAC) and Multi-Agency Public Protection Arrangements (MAPPA). I also attend Children's and Adult Social Care Strategy meetings when required.
• Developing bespoke training programmes on safeguarding, risk management and safety planning.
• Auditing systems regularly, ensuring the highest standards are met.
• Dealing with personal disclosures regarding safeguarding daily.
• Maintaining a trauma-informed approach at all times.

• Identification and assessment of young people and adults who were victims of Domestic Abuse.
• Supporting young people and adults to develop plans to reduce the risk of Domestic Abuse.
• Maintaining records of contact, safety plans and risks.
• Developing training and awareness of unhealthy relationships for schools/colleges, including both staff and pupils.
• Escalating any safeguarding issues to the appropriate bodies, including the police and social care.
• Hybrid working across all of Cumbria

Supporting Young People to build independent living skills whilst living in supported accommodation due to homelessness.

Identifying risk/safeguarding issues and supporting young people to reduce those risks.

Reporting risk/safeguarding concerns to Children's/Adult social care.

Maintaining safeguarding records on the appropriate systems.

• Promoting safe educational opportunities for young people living in deprived areas across Carlisle, including centre based, outreach and detached youth work.
• Developing training and leadership programmes for young people to enhance employment and volunteering opportunities.
• Advising management boards on safeguarding and developing policies to include Working Together to Safeguard Children (2018)
• Leading and supporting a team of paid and unpaid staff.
• Maintaining a database of personal information for employees and clients.
