  • I started in Swansea College (later merged to Gower College Swansea) During my time with Gower College Swansea I progressed from health and social care tutor to health and social care lecturer, within the commercial branch of the college.
  • My duties involved training, teaching and assessing learners using an individualised approach in order to facilitate the learner journey.
  • I delivered many courses at level 2, 3 and 5 and short courses including first aid.
  • I supported employers to identify and fulfill their training needs.
  • I successfully managed my case load and successfully completed the A1 (Assessors Award) and the V1 (Verifiers Award) in order to provide robust auditing of the learner and assessor evidence in order to meet the specifications of the courses.
  • The V1 role meant that I was responsible for a team of assessors, and as a result I have led many external audits successfully, and worked closely with the external awarding bodies.
