• Managed a team of 4 engineers that improved yield of helicopter windscreens from 50% to 90% within 18 months, enabling price increase and transfer from Birmingham to Luton.
• Reorganized several sections of GKN Luton to create the necessary space to accept the Helicopter production processes and plant, and managed the installation of air/vacuum/electric/extraction as required.
• Received shipments of stock, tooling and machinery at Luton from Birmingham site, and project managed the installation into the newly prepared areas.
• Updated electrical controls / guarding of transferred equipment to meet current PUWER requirements, improve safety, increase reliability and automate process (oven/autoclave programmes)
