I am a compassionate, creative and effective educator with valuable experience in classroom practice, curriculum creation, and professional development, I have a background in versatile education environments, and throughout my career I have been a student-centric instructor, academic facilitator and motivational coach. I am competent at performing independently or as member of a team. I am well-versed in classroom and online technologies. I have a genuine love of the ancient world, but in particular its languages and literature, I pride myself in my record of sending students onto higher education to study Classics in greater depth.
I taught Latin poetry to classes of 8-10 Classics undergraduates in St Hilda's College. I was able to choose which passages to work on, and we focused on translation skills and extended literary criticism. I marked translations regularly.
I also taught beginners' ancient Greek to two undergraduate students on the four-year Classics degree course.
