Always excited for a challenge.
Compassionate, energetic, creative, fun and effective individual with valuable experience in classroom and hotel reception administration, professional development and project planning. Competent at performing independently or as a team member. I am patient, driven and get jobs done methodically in any environment. I can engage and support people in order to get the best out of them.
I taught French and German to KS3, 4 and 5; was a tutor and performed the day-to-day tasks involved in teaching such as attending and leading meetings, presenting to staff, writing reports, organising trips and activities, communicating various information to different audiences both verbally and in writing.
Teacher of French at KS3.
Alongside my full-time teaching position, I have gained my GCSE and A-Level Spanish qualifications, have been a private French tutor to adults and young children as well as an examiner for Edexcel for several years running.
I recently completed an online course and was awarded a TQUK Level 2 Certificate in Principles of Business Administration in February 2024. I truly thrive on learning new skills.
I enjoy blowing off steam at the gym, showing the big guys what a 5‘1" lady can lift.
In the not so distant past, I was a keen runner and ran the London marathon twice as well as took part in a couple of ultra marathons and cross country races. Whilst I was part of the St Austell Running Club, I also held the position of Ladies’ Captain, organising training schedules as well as events such as a nutritionist talk, "yoga for runners" sessions and a May Ball. In my current position, I was nominated to represent Reception in the ARC committee and have assisted in the organisation of the hotel’s last two charity events.
In my spare time, I enjoy cooking up a storm and even more so, eating it! If I’m not wearing my chef’s hat, I’m happiest exploring the great outdoors in my muddy walking boots.
