Work history

Events waiter

Richmond Hill Hotel
Richmond, Richmond upon Thames
2024.09 - 2025.10
  • No two days were the same at this job, constantly performing different tasks and taking on different roles based on the needs of that specific event. Different events included; large conferences of up to 200 people using 12 different conference rooms that had to be reset multiple times a day. weddings and funerals with very particular, sometimes difficult guests. Parties and 3-course dinners for many different companies.
  • Responsibilities included setting up the rooms for the events, which would mean moving tables from one side of the hotel to another, ironing the tablecloths, then doing a 3-course meal set up or for a conference, doing the different conference set-ups to the requirements of the client. Other responsibilities were serving drinks or canapes to guests, wine services, bringing out the dishes then clearing the plates in between courses. The list could go on and on but that's why I enjoyed the job, I like a dynamic working environment where I get to learn and take on many responsibilities and meet new and interesting people ensuring they have the best possible experience.
  • This job also required long hours; the longest shift I worked was 15 hours until 6 am.

Waiter/bartender

Sakura yakiniku
East Molesey, Surrey
2022.08 - 2025.01
  • To clarify, this was a part-time job whilst I was in sixth form, and I did take a long break from it whilst I travelled in my gap year but then when back after and been working every once in a while.
  • Greeted and seated guests always with a smile on my face, fake or not.
  • Learnt every detail and dish of the multiple different menus we offered including all allergens, to ensure customer satisfaction.
  • Took orders accurately whilst multitasking efficiently under pressure.
  • Thrived in a stressful environment, taking on multiple roles and responsibilities to cover for the lack of staff.
  • Learnt many, many new skills and grew my confidence massively from the constant interaction with people from all walks of life.
  • Worked behind the bar on weekends, making Japanese craft cocktails.
  • To sum up my experience, i loved this job, it was my first real job after being a paper boy, and it taught me many things, especially patience, and led to many opportunities(the food was also a big plus).

I know this is not the most conventional CV as it doesn't follow the correct format. conventional CV's are boring and all very similar, I want to show you who I really am, to stand out from the rest. So, before you move on to the next CV, consider giving me a chance to prove myself to you.
