I have recently turned 18 and am approaching the end of my college education. I have a day release from college on Wednesdays and am also available on Saturdays, other evenings if required, and throughout the holidays until the end of July. I am writing to enquire whether there are any current opportunities available.
I would be very grateful for the opportunity, as I believe the role would be well suited to my skills and experience. I enjoy working as part of a team and would welcome the chance to further develop and grow within a role at Booths. As I have been accepted into university in September, I would be seeking a temporary contract until the end of July.
Working just through times where I was off College. General labourer. Working closely with others, following instructions and directions. Punctual and hard working.
I currently volunteer and have done for 4 years at Hesketh Bank Christian Centre called “The Hub” I volunteer every Friday evening, working as part of a team, leading games and activities for young people, dealing and talking to parents, and using good communication with the large team that I volunteer alongside
I have also volunteered at events locally, supporting and running a community café when available from college I have learnt to use coffee machines, take orders, deal with customers, and work at a till This café runs every Thursday morning and is well attended
I also volunteer in a youth band This has been a great opportunity to develop skills such as communicating, working alongside others, and working within a team
I worked very briefly as a back-up employee last year for Poppins, but the shifts didn't come up regularly on the days when I was off college, so I only managed to cover a few days However, when I was there I learnt a lot, using coffee machines, making drinks, serving customers, speaking well, and working hard and I loved it I moved to Arden Lea as there was more work and flexibility in my first year of college
