IT Tech Sales Skills Bootcamp, 2024-04-01, Present, Earlier this year I took it upon myself to attend a 3 month long tech sales boot camp. On the course I learnt about the outbound sales cycle, from top of funnel all the way down to the bottom, qualification methods, such as BANT, MEDDPIC and CHAMP and I also learnt about typical software Saas companies may use or sell. For example CRM services like HubSpot. An exciting part of the course for me was going through different tasks that a sales person would have to do such as making cold calls, sending cold emails and doing outreach on LinkedIn. Another part I enjoyed was looking at presenting to prospects. I had to make a presentation to show to prospects about a billing software that had the potential to increase their revenue by 15%. This is more of an AE role however I have aspirations of reaching that level at some point in the near future. On the course I also discovered my love for sales and I am more determined than ever to land a sales role as an SDR/BDR and then see where my career can lead to based on my performance.
