
With my experiences of working as a kitchen porter I bring great teamwork skills to the company and work well in groups. During my experiences, I have learnt how to overcome situations when something may not be working and how to find new ways of solving problems. For example, the machine had faulty issues and was out of use. I had to work around this and find my own way of keeping organised while still maintaining a good standard of practice and following health and safety procedures. From my work experiences as an assistant greenkeeper, I have improved on my organisational skills as we had to maintain the course in an order that worked most effectively and efficiently. It also helped build my patience as we had to respect golfers on the course and couldn't carry out work if the hole was being played on. During my work experiences as a Merchandiser, I had to learn how to identify the quality of products and what could be changed to help improve brand exposure. I was also required to identify any faults with labelling or stock rotatory issues using an app online which has helped me understand the use of online applications and how to apply them in my work environment.
I have obtained a level 2 B-Tec certificate in fire and rescue services in the community. This course took place over 2 years and required me to be dedicated. We had to carry out tasks as a team and communicate with each other to resolve challenges and issues. I took charge in being the crew leader and had to give instructions and guidance to other crew members.
