Whilst studying a degree, I was working part time as a bartender in a fast paced, populated tourist attraction. Responsibilities included:

• Creating friendly, welcoming atmospheres to encourage positive guest experiences, prolonging visits to increase profitability.
• Collecting and counting cash payments.
• Attending tables regularly to ensure customers experience and satisfaction were met to high standards
• Changing beer kegs regularly, consistently following correct health and safety measures.
• Following checklists rigorously for opening and closing procedures.
• Many prominent skills were learned in 5 years working here including literacy, numeracy and customer service.

As part of college work experience, I was required as a vision mixer for a series of nativity and festive plays within the college. Responsibilities included:

• Following orders from directors, assisting in pressing specific technologic buttons.
• Using transitions to create visual experience for audiences.
• Handling cameras using creative movements including tilting and panning.
• Keeping detailed records of equipment problems and reported irregularities to supervisor.

Whilst studying in college, my first job was a bar back in a cocktail bar located in a populated area of the city centre. Responsibilities included:

• Providing the bartenders with their essentials such as ice, juices, glasses and fruit to ensure customers were served quickly and efficiently.
• Upholding high standards of cleanliness in all work areas to comply with health and safety regulations.
• Tested and developed new cocktail recipes to add and compliment menu selections.
• It took me 5 months as a barback before making my way up to bartender, then eventually becoming head bartender. My listening skills and taking essential knowledge on board assisted in this progression.

As part of high school work experience, I spent a fortnight at a local youth club. This role was extremely rewarding as I was responsible for giving children aged 6-14 surroundings they could come and relax whilst learning, meeting new people and being proactive. Responsibilities included:

• Creating a fun and engaging environment for members of the club.
• Organizing fun activities and sports such as football, basketball, dodgeball, pool and darts.
• Handing awards out for best behaved and most improved to ensure the members felt appreciated.
• Maintaining a safe environment for members, ensuring risk assessments were always done prior to activities.
