Details about myself

  • Throughout my time in Secondary school, I was a young leader, from which I have gained good communication skills and organisational skills. This is from delivering workshops to younger pupils and helping with the organisation of the event.
  • At School/College I have played Volleyball for Cleobury Mortimer Volleyball Club and the West Midlands team, during this time I have learnt how to work within a team efficiently.
  • In the summer of 2019, I completed the National Citizen Service (NCS) from which I learned how to problem solve and used teamwork to get through the puzzles. In the first week of this we went on a residential which took determination and hard work to complete. In the second week we had a week’s trial experience at a University in Stoke where I learnt what university was like and it taught me that to get into University, I must motivate myself and be determined in my A levels. In the third and fourth week of NCS we had to help our local community and raise money for charities around us. Therefore, as a group of 6 or 7 we completely redecorated the local community hub to make it a better place for the children of Cleobury Mortimer. The charity we raised money for was our nearest Air Ambulance Service. To raise money we held bake sales, went on sponsored walks, and made posters to put around Cleobury for people to donate to a ‘go fund me’ page.
  • Now I have completed my first year of University I have become much more independent.
  • As well as continuing to play Volleyball for the university I have also taken up the gym for better physical and mental well-being.
  • Life at university has taught me to be organised, making sure I do not miss lectures or any deadlines I have set, this has helped me improve my time management skills massively.
