Former enthusiastic and experienced retail supervisor looking to join back into this industry. Having progressed through one of the largest retail companies in the UK, I gained valuable communication/leadership skills along with a very strong ethic. This also taught me to adapt in new environments and how to be extremely committed to any role I am no matter how fast-paced the environment may be or how high the pressure.
I understand the importance of setting expectations and objectives within a company and am committed to implementing strategies that would achieve these.
I am currently in this role as circumstances required me to be available at specific times of the day or week, and this role accommodated these requirements, though now I am no longer in need of such availability.
This position is extremely fast-paced and very physically demanding, requiring everyone to adhere to strict health and safety regulations to avoid injury, and to ensure others are following them as well.
After working as an assistant, I wanted more responsibility and applied to be a section leader in ASDA. This role introduced me to team management, as I oversaw multiple sections of the store. My duties included:
In this role, I was on a three-week rolling rota, so being flexible with my working hours was crucial, and I carry this priority through into every role that I undertake.
While attending college, I started working at Asda part-time. After completing my qualifications, I was offered a full-time position with the store. As a superstore colleague, I was responsible for taking delivery, managing stock levels, and providing quality customer service throughout the day. I also gained several years of POS experience and understand the importance of providing the best experience for the customer.
