Church Volunteer – Technical & Events Support
January 2025 – Present

I volunteer at my local church helping with the technical side of weekly services and different church events. My main role is setting up equipment before services, such as microphones, speakers and the presentation system, and making sure everything is working properly before people arrive.

During services I help keep an eye on the sound and slides so things run smoothly. If there are any small technical issues, I help sort them out as quickly as possible.

I also help prepare the church for special events throughout the year. This can include arranging chairs, setting up tables or display areas, and helping decorate the church for seasonal services, celebrations, or community events. Sometimes I also help with small improvements or tidying up to make the space look more welcoming.

Volunteering here has helped me build confidence working with others, solving problems when things don’t go to plan, and supporting live events where preparation and teamwork are important.

Responsibilities

  • Setting up microphones, speakers and presentation equipment before services
  • Assisting with basic sound and technical support during services
  • Helping prepare the church for events and community gatherings
  • Arranging seating, tables and stage areas when needed
  • Supporting decoration and seasonal setups for services
  • Helping tidy and reset the space after events
