Food, Beverage & Retail Operations Manager

Sage Gateshead is an international music centre and renowned conference and event venue in the North East of England.

  • I was responsible for coordinating the day to day operation of the Food and Beverage outlets, managing high volume in coordination with events and refined Brasserie service.
  • I was responsible for the control of operational costs including labour and stock holding. By changing the staffing structure and daily operating procedures across the food and beverage outlets, I reduced our labour costs by over 15%, while maintaining our high performance standards.
  • By building a strong rapport and understanding our suppliers' needs, I developed new business offerings and created a new revenue stream through bespoke events that were mutually beneficial for us and the supplier. Such as the relationship with Hepple Gin.
  • I lead event planning and delivery, working in close coordination with the Conference and Events team and successfully delivered Large-scale events:
