  • Company Overview: Fulham Reach which is a riverside development on the River Thames that comprises of 720 residential units and 12 commercial units in Hammersmith. I have worked on two phases here from procurement, account management to final accounts.
  • Providing regular feedback on tendered and actual costs with other projects and the company's estimator.
  • Working alongside my technical and construction colleagues to produce comprehensive package scopes of works and interface schedules
  • Procurement of 15 subcontracts (Balconies, Landscaping, Roofing, Waterproofing, Kitchens, etc) with a overall value of £11 million. The buying position variance across all packages was less than 1%
  • I manage the trade packages contracts ensuring timely valuation of site works, issuing contractual notices and agreeing any valid variations/claims in a reasonable time
  • Final accounted 13 packages (Substructure and Super Structure, Façade, Lifts, Roof and Waterproofing, etc) these final accounts included subcontractor claims and various client changes, landing the packages within the commercial monitor
  • Undertaken tender equalisation ensuring all aspects of each tenders are carefully reviewed and recognised ensuring I have captured all discrepancies in tender returns.
  • I placed robust and comprehensives contracts together using the bespoke Berkeley call off contract.
  • I undertake the maintaining and control of the commercial documents such as: Commercial monitor, logistics budget, tender event schedule, risk and opportunities, Cashflow, Payment Tracker and a VO register
  • I report in project meetings taking responsibility for project updates for the commercial team such as procurement update, risks profiles on packages, compliance issues and other documents above.
  • I prepare, produce and report monthly cost and budget variance via a commercial monitor including preparation of separate variance reports addressing specific areas of budget overspend
  • I work closely with Technical colleagues and ensure the variation orders are obtained and priced from the Technical Department within required time allowance.
  • Work closely with Construction colleagues and ensure any site instructions issued to trade contractors are clear and precise. Alongside reporting those with a financial or time implication
  • Ensured compliance with health and safety regulations during all stages of construction projects.
  • Advised on procurement strategy which was instrumental in successful contract attainment in regards to achieving budget, build sequence and technical compliance.
  • Led contract negotiations, leading to beneficial terms for the company.
  • Liaised effectively with subcontractors, maintaining smooth workflow at all times.
