Key responsibilities.

  • Assisted the Estates Manager in the management and organisation of a £8m re-development of part of the site.
  • Project managed instillation of new CCTV and fire alarm systems.
  • Initiation and implementation of volunteering/mentoring scheme designed to support vulnerable adults back into work.

Overview

Responsible for all Maintenance work within this Care Home. The property was a grade II listed building, and required extensive work in order to maintain the high standards set out by BUPA.


Key duties

  • Painting, decorating, repairs and refurbishment.
  • Conduct and document all Health and Safety checks thoroughly and in a timely manner to ensure the site is fully compliant with all legislative requirements.
  • Liaising with contractors, and co-ordinating their work to ensure minimal disruption to clients, but maximum service delivery. Including a six month, high value refurbishment to the left wing of the home.
  • Maintaining the grounds within the home to provide residents with a beautiful and safe outside space.
  • Working in conjunction with Maintenance Officers from other local care homes to ensure SLA's and KPI's are met.
  • Assist residents when moving in, to ensure there are no breaches of H&S.
