I have nearly three years experience within the acute hospital setting from all areas of surgical, orthopaedic and intensive care. My main goals have always been to maximise patients quality of life provide effective patient care following local polices and evidence from reviewed research. I have been committed to my work and studies and would grateful to receive the opportunity to push myself further and work towards my goal of becoming a pilot. From working in healthcare from a young age understand the importance of being kind and caring but also the importance of being a strong team member an being someone who is trust worthy and someone who you can rely on to get work done to a high standard.
After finishing two years of my university skills i have gathered many practical and academic skills Im currently writing academically at a level 6 meaning all my practise is based on evidence informed decision making Being a student nurse and working within busy hospital environments mean I can work in high pressured environments and that I am also good a problem solving I enjoyed my time within the intensive care unit due to the high pressure environment and the need of problem solving - this was also a brilliant environment for me to use my communication skills For families and loved ones it is a difficult place to be but i believe that I am compassionate and empathetic Even though the change of career path these are life skills that are transferable My current career is taking me into specialist palliative care and end of life and through this I have developed many skills such as being punctual and the importance of wearing uniform to high standards and understanding presentation My degree has taught me that I am Academic but I'm best when working practically I love practical skills and being 'hands on' this is where I'm best and strive to work hard I'm very committed to being the best I can be and am always on time, polite and work hard ot achieve my goals
