  • VSphere 7 & 8 to build, maintain and configure the virtual server estate.

  • Main contact for Infrastructure for our Azure Cloud services subscriptions, I also work very closely with our external supplier (Softcat) to manage the IAC.
  • PowerShell for the automation of tasks.
  • Complete projects as part of the Infrastructure Project Plan. Currently rolling out OneLogin/OneIdentity as our main Identity Provider/Privileged Access Management platform amongst others. I have also just completed our mail security migration to Barracuda as well as migrating our backup system from Commvault to Rubrik.
  • Create, configure and maintain backups for all the server and laptop estate using Commvault and Rubrik.
  • Some exposure to networking particularly an SDWAN migration to place our retail centres onto next generation networks.
  • Supporting day to day users via a ticketing system called SysAid and Halo.
  • Creating and implementing changes that go through a change advisory board.
  • Patching servers as part of our monthly maintenance weekends by deploying updates from iVanti.
  • Using Tenable to identify vulnerabilities within our server estate and taking the necessary action to resolve them.

  • Tasked as part of a project team to migrate all hospital systems (roughly 125 systems) running on Windows Server 2003/2008 to Windows Server 2019.
  • VSphere 6.7 using the VCF on Dell EMC VxRail Solution to rebuild, configure and migrate all legacy systems to 2019 servers and in some cases 2016 servers.
  • Using SQL Server 2019 to upgrade and migrate databases.
  • Sophos Central for all AV requirements.
  • Active Directory Domain Services, Sites and Services, Group Policy Management, DNS & DHCP, creation and configuration.
  • STaas and BaaS using a third-party supplier.
  • Using PRTG Network Monitor to reconfigure alerts for all systems migrated.
  • Creating and implementing changes such as migrations, decommissioning, and firewall changes that go through a change advisory board.
  • Refining the standard decommissioning process to streamline the removal of all legacy systems (Virtual and Physical).
