Current job role involves me teaching a Year 4 class across a range of subjects as well as delivering PE and Games lessons to other year groups.

Duties include:

• Ensure the safeguarding of all pupils and record any concerns with DSL
• Plan and deliver engaging lessons
• Using a range of resources to make lessons accessible for all
• Model and maintain a positive working environment
• Assess, record and report progress to parents via parents evening and written reports and liaise with SENCO if needed
• Run termly extracurricular clubs (rugby, football, cricket and cooking)
• Assist with running sports day
• Organise school trips
• Attend school events throughout the year
• Manage teaching assistants to work with identified children

When completing my teacher training programme, my main placement was at the Cathedral CEVA Primary School. At the end of my training, I was employed as a full-time member of staff. Duties included:

• Taught across Key Stage 2
• Established a safe learning environment for all children
• Monitored pupil's progress and gaps in learning
• Used CPOMs to record safeguarding and behavioural incidents
• Ran extracurricular clubs across Key Stage 1 and Key Stage 2
• Led residential trips to Kingswood and Isle of Wight

After deciding to pursue a career in education and leaving a job in recruitment to gain experience in education, I was appointed as a Sports Coach at a local infant school. Duties included:

• Planned and delivered engaging and safe activities to help develop athletic and motor skills
• Demonstrated techniques and strategies to help children improve their skills and technique
• Ran extracurricular clubs and took teams out of school to compete in competitions
• Helped the PE lead organise and run sports day
• Ran intervention groups for English and maths
