I am a dynamic and results-driven professional with a strong foundation in team management and strategic thinking. During my time working in various hospitality venues I have demonstrated exceptional leadership and effective communication skills from beginning as a bartender to becoming an assistant manager. I thrive in fast paced, high pressure environments and enjoy working both independently and apart of a team. I am known for my punctuality, initiative and strong interpersonal skills and it is my aim to consistently exceed expectations.
Stepping up from supervisor to assistant manager I have gained valuable experience consisting of leading and managing cross-functional teams ( front desk, housekeeping. F&B and maintenance), ensuring always high performance and aiding in staff development. I have oversaw budgeting, forecasting, financial reporting and monitored expenses and revenue and have successfully met financial targets. I have used calm and effective decision making to handle issues such as guest complaints and operational challenges.
This position has enabled me to act as a bridge between staff and senior management, ensuring clear, concise and effective communication between the team. I have been given responsibilities such as opening and closing the venue also.
During this position I gained a better understanding of behind the scenes processes such as: inventory control, scheduling and room turnover coordination.
Learned to interact professionally with guests and handle inquiries and was then able to efficiently resolve complaints ensuring a positive customer experience within the venue.
