Work history

Site Foreman

M&J Evans
Kirkham & Horwich, Lancashire
03.2023 - Current
  • At present on Kirkham, we have excavated and poured concrete for more than 110 plots, which include Pile and Ground Beam foundations, in addition to conventional strip foundations. This work encompasses 43 CMLs and over 4,100 square meters of roads and sewer systems. All this in little under 10 months. During my tenure supervising this development, I have at times overseen a workforce of over 50 individuals engaged in various tasks, including Roads and Sewers, Slabs and Drains, Finishing Works, Bricklaying, the construction of a 300-meter acoustic wall and a significant peat removal operation.
  • Coordinated site operations to meet strict deadlines, whilst also achieving top marks from NHBC.
  • Complied strictly with all regulatory requirements, ensuring legal compliance at all times.
  • Ensured site safety by implementing rigorous health and safety protocols.
  • Led team of skilled workers for efficient project completion.

Site Foreman

MV Kelly
Darwen, Preston & Poulton, Lancashire
03.2021 - 03.2023
  • Darwen, McDermott Homes - The project presented significant challenges due to its location on a steep incline. Nearly every footing required a stepped design because of the site's severity, necessitating close collaboration with engineers to ensure both quality and cost efficiency. Each footing was accompanied by a retaining wall that needed to be designed and constructed in the most economical manner.
  • Poulton, Wain Homes - Successfully completed over 60 footings, including excavation, pouring, and slab installation, all delivered to the client within a span of just six months, with a workforce of no more than ten individuals on site. This achievement was driven by a commitment to quality and the establishment of smooth working relationships with various teams, enabling rapid progress within a limited timeframe.Scheduled daily tasks to streamline workflow.
  • Procured necessary materials, avoiding project delays due to shortages.
  • Complied strictly with all regulatory requirements, ensuring legal compliance at all times.
  • Organised regular meetings for clear communication of expectations and progress updates.

Site Foreman

Caldwell Construction
Blackburn, Lancashire

  • Huyton, Keepmoat Homes - An extremely large job which I managed for several months before leaving for MV Kelly.
  • Maintained clean work environment for optimal productivity.
  • Scheduled daily tasks to streamline workflow.
  • Interpreted drawings accurately to deliver high-quality construction output.

  • For a couple of years I worked for myself. This was extremely tricky but even more rewarding as I had to source: drawings, products, materials and labour myself.
