I have progressed through multiple roles at Exertis UK in the past five years. Gaining extensive experience in Trade Compliance and logistics, I am now responsible for all export shipments, raising documentation, completing compliance checks, and coordinating each stage of the process. This includes working closely with sales teams to release orders, liaising with the warehouse to ensure accurate pick and pack, arranging transport with freight forwarders, and communicating with customers to meet their specific requirements for every shipment.

As a Senior, I also support the onboarding of new carriers and maintain strong relationships with existing partners. I train new team members, provide day-to-day guidance, and act as the first point of contact for any export delays or issues, ensuring swift resolution and minimal disruption.

At Fort Vale, I worked across multiple areas of the manufacturing process, gaining hands-on experience with metal preparation, cleaning, and finishing of tanker components. My role included operating the Hot Wash system for large stainless-steel parts, carrying out safe loading and unloading of components into the Acid Wash dip tanks, and performing light welding tasks. I also supported the fettling department, where I sand-blasted valves and other precision parts to prepare them for final assembly. The contract had the potential to become permanent, but was impacted by Covid-19.

I joined EFS Global straight after college, working in the transport office supporting pallet network operations. My responsibilities included arranging shipments, obtaining PODs, and assisting the warehouse during busy periods. This role gave me early experience in logistics, customer communication, and working in a fast-paced transport environment.
