My day to day duties onboard with jet2 consists of assisting passengers during boarding, completing the safety demonstration and any necessary safety briefings and providing friendly inflight services. The main goals of each day is to ensure firstly everyone arrives at their destination safely but secondly to be apart of the start of their holiday creating memories and ensuring an enjoyable flight. Now that's the day you want, as Cabin crew its important to be prepared for any situation that arises so a critical part of my role includes staying up to date with the relevant SOPs and policies at all times. This ensures you remain confident and proactive when facing the many challenges you can face as Cabin Crew.

  • As a receptionist at this surgery my primary job is taking calls from upwards of 500 patients a day, allocating appointment to the best practitioner so I am required to readily know and understand each practitioners specialty to best allocate appointment. I am also responsible for any filing, printing and post that needs tending too. I often greet patients, managing any queries they have as well as handling prescriptions and blood tests.

My time volunteering at WAL was an unforgettable experience, I had the pleasure of assisting on daily safaris learning a copious amounts about the local wildlife, nature and culture. I was responsible for the care of the horses who were the heart of the safari, maintaining their wellbeing by attending to any minor injuries attained while navigating the bush, grooming and tacking up ready for the guests as well as general stable management such as feeding, watering and daily temperature checks. On safaris with guests I would join as a back up rider, ensuring no one got lost or le behind as well as ensuring everyone stayed calm during sightings- when coming face to face with a lion whilst on horseback this wasnʼt always easy! I also had hospitality responsibilities such as serving guests at dinner time, clearing plates, keeping drinks topped up, showing them around the facilities and assisting to any of their requests for room extras.

  • As a health advisor we are the first port of call for many of the nation when they have concerns about their health. My role is to safely navigate the pathways system to ensure an appropriate outcome whilst also keeping our sometimes very anxious patients calm. I must make onward referrals efficiently, safeguard patients when needed, liaise with patients when the outcome isn’t what was expected or inappropriate due to their circumstances and offer alternatives. I must also be able to make note of any red flags mentioned during the call and raise these with the appropriate service. I also took on the role of staff forum representative where I provided my colleagues with a safe place for them to discuss any concerns they have whilst at work, I could then, if appropriate, take this to the management team and come to a solution.

  • I am now responsible for fellow drivers safety, ensuring that they are fit to drive and all necessary daily and weekly checks have been completed. I must also ensure the customers are receiving the best quality items available by assisting our personal shoppers identify any poor quality items on the shop floor as well as making them aware of suitable substitutes, the best use by and sell by dates. I also must keep up to date rosters for our colleagues, identifying and offering overtime where necessary. I also have the responsibility of checking the weekly and monthly KPI’s and make any necessary adjustments.

  • As a delivery driver its paramount that I ensure customers receive a great service, the best substitutes and date options possible all in a timely manor. It is also very important to keep a daily log on the condition of the vans to prevent any health and safety issues, for myself and the public around me.

  • As a hostess my responsibilities ranged from greeting guests and showing them to their table, taking drink orders and serving them. I also had to keep up to date with reservations to maintain a comfortable seating area to ensure an enjoyable experience for everyone in the restaurant. I was also responsible for keeping the decking clear and tidied when possible and often helped out serving dishes during busy periods.
