Jordan Fleary

I am a dedicated MA Human Rights Law graduate from the University of Manchester with a strong academic and personal commitment to social justice, equality, and advocacy. My research has focused on racial injustice and systemic inequality, and I am passionate about using my legal knowledge and research skills to make a meaningful impact in law, policy, and community-focused work. I bring strong analytical, communication, and organisational skills developed through academic research, voluntary work with vulnerable communities, and experience in fast-paced client-facing roles.

I received a 'Best Dissertation' award and a cash prize for my undergraduate dissertation “Darkness Lingers in the Wake of Slavery”: An Exploration of How Racism Manifests as Intergenerational Trauma Among Black Women in the US.

• Creative expression through music, art, and fashion, with a particular focus on exploring social issues through artistic work.

• Volunteered with Mustard Tree, assisting refugees and people experiencing homelessness with access to food, housing and English learning support.
• Participated in community outreach projects through Selfridges' corporate volunteering programme, such as Manchester Pride and Plant NOMA.
