Summary

Since I began my working career, I have only ever known what I know now. Retail Media. Its been my passion for closing in on a decade and working both platform / network side as well as now having agency knowledge I believe I have become a strong candidate for scaling Retail Media.


My demonstrated revenue and workflow growth, accompanied by my industry knowledge and connections has transformed me from a Retail Media enthusiast 8 years ago to a leader in the space whilst still living this channel and what comes with it.


The key to success in retail media isn't just what you know, its about equipping those alongside you and scaling & standardising that across a network whilst still applying that personalised component. There's no one glove fits all.

My experiences in team management and Retail Media channels landed me a position with VML (Formally Wunderman Thompson) as a Retail Media Lead Position.


The position was presented to me as a new channel and proposition to add to VML's current commerce arm. Its an area with no expertise and wanted me to bring mine, educate the teams around me, build my own team and create my own projects within the agency.


Using my managerial attributes that were learnt and developed at Quotient previously, I went straight to work in creating a well ran retail media channel.


From nothing in April 2022 I won my first scope of work by end of May and grew Gross Revenue 2022 to 2023 by 350% then again by 200% from 2023 to 2024 and 2024 to 2025 grew to 210%.


My team today has 9 annual clients, 3 scope by scope clients and marginal workflow of 60%.

  • Working towards performance of brands on the retailer sites and expecting the program agreed with the brand and our company.
  • Average deal was $10,000 value and have worked on deals up to $1.2 million annual.
  • Educating and training three separate teams on best techniques, tips and tricks to getting the best for brand performance online using internal sources, data studio reports and SQL reports.
  • Taking average monthly spend in October 2019 from $100,000 by myself to taking us to $3.5m monthly with a team of 15 people to date.

  • Faced challenges in being taken seriously due to age when joining larger team calls.

I was nominated for Retail Media effectiveness at the Northern Digital Awards in 2023 for our campaign with Edrington UK.


I spoke alongside Colgate Palmolive to discuss how Retail Media is transforming their online business planning.
