Jonathan Joseph (Jonjo) Hill

Outside of school I've always been passionate about sport -Rugby, Skateboarding, but especially football I've played for local clubs, my primary school, Tech and now St Greggs I also play in a local Sunday League where I captain the team Ideally, I'd like to stay involved in the sport as I get older, continuing to play to the best of my ability I've got so much from playing the game – being part of a team is not just great for both physical and mental health but has also taught me important lessons for life, like how to win well and more importantly how to lose well Being part of something bigger than just yourself makes you consider others; makes you want to encourage them and be there for the team when things don't go well It's been great for developing discipline, commitment and a sense of pride

I also undertook a week of work with a local electrical installation engineer I really enjoyed the work, being part of a team and seeing the enormous variety of tasks and jobs that they did It really caught my interest and inspired me for the future

I've also spent holidays and weekends working with my mother who runs a local gardening company I've undertaken all aspects of maintenance and planting with her, and love being in and around gardens

I currently also work in a local restaurant's kitchen as a KP and FOH Assistant

I love working hard, earning money and the sense of achievement and independence it gives me

Family means a lot to me, I'm lucky to have two grandparents alive still and I spend time helping them

I've made great friends in and out of school and I believe I've been a loyal and dependable friend to them – I've got a good sense of humour and use it often I think a lot of my friends and I believe they feel the same about me
