Currently holding the position of Production Technician for Petrofac on the FPF1-FPSO. With experience working in the offshore oil and gas industry and over a decade of experience as a Lead Production Technician in the chemical industry. Commissioning experience managing the expansion of a chemical plant and experience in process design working with chemical engineers to make modifications to new and existing production processes. With a proven track record of permit to work systems, isolation's, gas testing procedures, safe and efficient operation and monitoring of plant/utility systems. Have an interest in working with multidisciplinary teams having developed trust and respect across different teams and are willing to work outside of specified role when required. Work overtime when required. Natural leader, positive, resourceful, self-motivated who enjoys working under his own initiative as an effective team member. Operation and optimisation of process equipment and utility systems in accordance with operating procedures and standards on the ITHACA Operating Management System. High level of environmental awareness compliance. Start-up and shutdown of equipment safely by using the relevant procedures. Performing Authority Delegate authorising work scope and verifying Permits and risk assessments. Stop the job when observing an unsafe act and questioning procedures and best practices. Entering of safety cards to capture unsafe acts/positive conversations contributing towards platform/field trends. Continuous Improvement - Run and actively participate in Thinking About Process Safety (TAPS) discussions whenever we deviate from a normal way of working.
Using P&ID's to identify isolation's for planned maintenance, issuing Permit To Work and the main isolating authority.
Lead Process Operator in charge of a shift on a top tier COMAH chemical plant based in
Seal Sands , In charge of the day to day safe running of the chemical plant, overseeing a
shift of 5 operators and numerous contractors and other trades that carry out maintenance
and ensure this is done in a correct and safe manor. Active member of the Emergency
Control Team when real events/emergency muster drills are carried out. Through this role I
liaise with management updating them of the current state of the plant and respond to any
issues that arise. From these meetings I will implement any changes in planning for the plant
such as adjusting distillations, filtering, reaction rates and final processing ready for
distribution. I was also the Health and Safety representative for my site, routinely meeting with higher management to highlight any safety concerns from the shift or present any new safety ideas that could benefit the company.
