I have continued to work for Warmans Surveying who is now owned by a previous consultant to the company. I am predominantly employed to carry out Building Surveys and RICS Homebuyer Reports in the London area, and also locations within the M25. Valuations are sometimes required as part of these reports.

Our firm was purchased in November 2015. Under the hand-over terms of agreement, I continued with the new owners until December 2020.

I became a partner of the firm which became an Islington based Arcitectural and Surveying company. During this time, I built up a network of professional and industry contacts, and achieved an excellent reputation in the Islington area. As well as conducting residential Building Surveys, RICS Homebuyer Reports and mortgage valuations, the surveying department also agreed Party Wall Awards and carried out other professional services. Geographical areas included central London but also other locations within the M25. The Arcitectural Department specialised in the refurbishment and significant alterations to predominanly residential buildings in the London area. Both departments had extensive experience of Georgian, Victorian and Edwardian residential properties.

I joined Warmans, a multi-disciplinary practice in North London, with a view to expanding the surveying department. During this period I worked to improve the firm's professional standing in the geographical areas covered, and inrease the amount of general practice survey work.

The main surveying partners left Hamptons and formed their own Wimbledon based company, again specialising in mortgage valuations, and pre-purchase Surveys.

For the most part, I was based in the Arlington Street office London SW1 with a view to increasing the surveying workload in the London area. The surveying department had previously operated from Surrey and Putney offices. I mostly conducted residential pre-purchase surveys and mortgage valuations during this period.

Working in a South Kensington based office, I obtained my first experience in conducting pre-purchase surveys and mortgage valuations on residential property.

I was employed in the Maida Vale office and conducted general Building Surveying duties on behalf of the Church Commissioners as part of the management of the Maida Vale Estate. During this time, I studied part-time at South bank University for a degree in Building Surveying. For a brief period I also worked for the London Borough of Lambeth, similarly providing Building Surveying services but rejoined Chestertons in September 1985.
