John Post is a photographer and researcher, with a focus on the intersection of empathy, banality, and identity within photographic practice. His DfE funded PhD research at Ulster University examines the confluence of photography and male homosexuality through auto-ethnographic and participatory methodologies, employing both digital and analogue techniques in studio-based portraiture.
As an educator, John is working towards Advance HE accreditation, having taught at both the Belfast School of Art and Duncan of Jordanstone College of Art & Design. Alongside his academic and creative endeavours, he brings scientific expertise to his work, currently holding a position as a biologist at the University of Dundee while continuing his doctoral research.
