I am responsible for carrying out reactive and planed maintenance to plastics extrusion and converting machines.

This includes maintaining all the plant and all ancillary equipment across the site.

This includes hydraulics, pneumatics, electrical and electronic systems.

AC inverters, DC drives and controls, gear boxes and bearing changes.

To Maintain the stock level of spares, plan PPM schedules and document all maintenance activities.

All with health and safety in mind.

I have daily meetings with production and attend health and safety meetings.

• Developed preventive maintenance schedules for improved machine longevity.
• Averted major production losses by identifying and fixing faults swiftly in machines.
• Managed stock control of spare parts to ensure minimal operational disruptions.
• Drafted clear and concise reports after each repair or installation task.
• Liaised with suppliers for procurement of high-quality replacement parts.

• Carried out scheduled preventative maintenance requests on all machines, processes and assembly lines.

This is a business I started myself with an ex work colleague as we were both. made redundant from our previous employer.

I gained my 2391 in inspection and testing and we went on to carry out a vast array if installations at customer sites and carry out machine repairs due to our experience in industry.

I was employed here to repair and maintain injection moulding machines and compact disc finishing lines.

All comprising of hydraulics and pneumatic systems. Inverters, servo drives, electronic systems and temperature control repair.

My duties here include the maintenance and repair to a range of textile equipment.
