During my time with FES and OCS, I have developed both my technical and managerial capabilities. Gaining experience across electrical supervision, site management, project engineering, and SAP responsibilities. Working on a diverse range of projects has strengthened my knowledge in planning, procurement, client liaison, project coordination, and successful project delivery to various specifications. I am now looking to further develop my career in project management and transition away from my partially tool-based role, where I can apply my technical knowledge and practical experience to lead projects from conception through to completion.
Roles: Electrical Supervisor, Site Manager, Project Services Engineer / SAP
Working across a variety of projects for multiple clients, requiring adaptation to differing electrical specifications, installation standards, and project requirements. Developed extensive experience in both site-based delivery and project engineering functions, supporting projects from initial survey and planning stages through to completion and handover.
Key Responsibilities:
Just prior to completing my apprenticeship with EMTEC, I was offered the opportunity to transition into an office-based role, training towards becoming an Electrical Project Manager in recognition of my potential for progression within the company.
During this period, I supported the pre-construction phase of the ASN Special Needs School project in Kirkintilloch, gaining valuable experience in project planning, estimating, and procurement. This role provided exposure to specialist electrical systems, including sensory equipment and adaptable lighting installations, while developing my understanding of client requirements and design coordination.
Key responsibilities included:
This experience strengthened my commercial awareness and provided an early foundation in project management principles, complementing my technical electrical background
