Summary

Graduate sound engineer with 4+ years of experience in an education setting, studying Music Technology at the University of the West of Scotland. I have had hands on experience within music studios, recording musicians, operating mixing desks, using digital audio workstations for music and audio-post production projects. Whilst at university, I build up audio banks from sound design projects, prepared template sessions using Avid Pro Tools for music and audio-visual integration projects and practised mastering audio for distribution after the creative stages of production.

Out-with university, I have worked freelance as a DJ and sound engineer, in my own town as well as travelling to Inverness on a monthly basis where I am co-resident in a sports bar. I also volunteer as a social media promoter for a local sports club which has allowed me to develop networking skills online and promote events on behalf of the club.

Since leaving university in July 2024, I have used the combined skillset from my DJing work as well as my voluntary social media job to start my own professional brand. Using my skills and understanding of the various realms within music technology, my new business,

'JC Audio Engineering', now brands me as a general audio visual engineer.
