Summary

I am somebody who is young, energetic, hungry and driven for success. I am very punctual, not having any absences and always turning up on time. I am also much focused on self-development; always looking for opportunities to progress and develop myself as far as I can, learning from any mistakes made and reacting to any constructive criticism in the most positive manner. I can work extremely effectively independently and as a team player within a fast-paced environment. I have strong and effective communication skills with people internally within my current workplace and externally to achieve the best results possible. I have good people management skills, from having challenging conversations with colleagues, dealing with in-house conflicts and providing feedback (both negative and positive, but in the correct manner). I am very reliable, trustworthy and approachable and my team know that any opportunity, they are free to talk about issues at work or even personal problems they are facing. Leading stock control initiatives at Exertis UK has led me to become strongly familiar with all responsibilities required to that of a stock controller. With expertise in SAP and Excel, I have directed inventory cycles and resolved discrepancies promptly and have a keen eye for detail. My effective people management skills ensured team success and I contributed to ISO accreditation efforts, improving operations and processes significantly as a result of my suggestions.

Work history

Stock Control Supervisor

Exertis UK
Burnley, Lancashire
09.2024 - Current
  • Responsible for leading and running a Perpetual Inventory cycle every quarter-year. This includes pulling data of all current stock locations, raising the audits, managing and running reports on the progress throughout using Microsoft Excel. I am also responsible for solving any issues that may arise during the cycle.
  • Once a PI cycle has concluded, i am responsible for investigating any discrepancies found, whilst also delegating this out to my team of 9 people to complete investigations in a more timely manner (the quicker a discrepancy is looked into, the more likely a resolution and root cause is sought)
  • Responsibility of making sure all SI Bins are cleared in a timely manner (stock in missing bins, damaged bins or cancelled bins). I am responsible for running a report on this on a daily basis and have plenty of experience with presenting stock that has been deemed permanently missing awaiting write off to management teams
  • Proactive and Positive Customer/Vendor support - Managing a zoho ticketing system where customers/vendors/fellow colleagues can raise tickets reporting any issues of over or under-shipments and various other problems. I am required to meet an SLA of 48 hours to ensure customer satisfaction and to ensure the constant flow of the business continues.
  • Possess strong knowledge on Stock Utilisation by running reports to identify stock levels and to suggest areas for improvement that can make picking more efficient resulting in saving time and cost. Capable of monitoring previous shipments of stock identifying trends to further support suggestions of improvements for placement of stock. On the back of this, i was responsible for setting up locations for the purpose of free-flowing replenishment again for more efficient picking purposes.
  • Strong knowledge of SAP. Capable of solving most SAP related problems to keep the business flowing and to not disrupt any outgoing or urgent orders. All Perpetual Cycles are ran and recorded on the SAP database which i am responsible for setting up and monitoring. Currently in my stock control team, there are over 40 processes to learn, where i have a good knowledge on the vast majority and have the capability of training out to other people where needed.
  • Previous experience of working within the operation through the inbound team for 2 years. Developed a good level of knowledge including the receipting of stock, communicating with purchasers/buyers to ensure the free-flow of stock coming through door and heading straight to final location so it was available for sale.
  • People Management skills - responsible for dealing with any absences/sickness and conducting return to work forms with colleagues to make sure they are in a fit and healthy state for return. Also responsible taking further action with colleagues should they breach any trigger points. Recently had experience of dealing with a dismissal due to a poor punctuality record.
  • ISO accreditation - for the past 2 years, i have been heavily involved with creating/amending process flows in accordance with our processes and had a strong involvement in presenting these to external auditors to gain accreditation passing on both attempts.
