I was hired by Made Tech account and a team of 6 Talent Partners to implement the strategy and delivery across the business with a target of 80+ hires over 12 months across 4 regions (Bristol, London, Manchester and Newcastle) with in various Government and NHS clients.
Our main focus and 90% of the hiring is within the software engineering space from junior engineers to principal technologists. I personally have full responsibility for being the number 1 point of contact for all senior stakeholders and the HR team to deliver the above in a set time scale.
Currently working onsite as Talent Acquisition Lead at Madetech.com – Made Tech are a Consultancy supporting UK Central Government, Local Government and Healthcare across the UK.
- Managing Full-Stack Engineering pipeline end to end
- Reduced external agency spend by 100% by bringing all hiring in house
- Identified new automation tools to help drive hiring efficiencies, resulting in improved time to hire (currently 2 weeks from entry to pipeline to offer)
- Re-evaluated skills within existing team and devised workforce plan to meet growth plans
- Identified opportunities to improve existing hiring processes i.e. reducing stages in process, change order and adapting to COVID-19 to contain more culture content and change up the style of peer interviews.
- Established updated recruitment framework, scorecard, structure – resulted in scalable process and succession planning to free up interviews time
- Increased ATS usage (Recruitee) to ensure more self-sufficiency across the company, also reduced duplicative processes of updating in Slack/Email as well as Recruitee
- Revised all job listings to ensure alignment to tone of voice, content was representative of inclusive company and updated content to ensure consistency across Glassdoor, LinkedIn, Website, AngelList, Hackernews, Stackoverflow, Github etc.
- Helped build out proactive diversity initiatives including regular postings in Ada List, more active in the local community, leveraging existing women in tech groups and pro-noun sourcing of passive candidates.
- Successfully delivered an academy programme, where we hired 12 new people to join a really exciting 3 month opportunity and hopefully qualify into a full time position as a junior engineer with Made Tech.
