Passionate 4th year Law student, who is eager to develop my legal knowledge. I love interacting with people and I am dedicated to becoming a solicitor Committed to leveraging analytical skills to drive informed decision-making and contribute to organisational success.
I participated in the Comparative law project in which I travelled to Mainz, Germany, in order to make a presentation with a law student from Mainz in comparing a certain aspect of law against both legal systems. Furthermore, we collaborated together in order to write a 7,000 word essay to submit to our respective univerties.
In third year, I participated in the Go Abroad scheme where I spent the whole year in Freiburg, Germany. During this year, I embraced German culture, taking new law courses and visiting the German Federal Constitutional Court to hear a case. Further as part of a comparative law course I wrote a 10,000 word essay comparing habeas corpus and the writ of amaparo.
Further, I am currently the treasurer of the Glasgow Bar and Advocacy Society where I budget and help in the running of law events.
In 2021, I was able to shadow Sheriff Frank Crowe for one day in the Sherrif Court in Edinburgh. I was able to sit in on court proceedings which was an eye-opening experience to see the process of legal proceedings take place in front of me. It was valuable experience for me.
