I am a passionate Third year Filmmaking student studying at the University of the West of England in Bristol. I specialize in editing and have a strong sense of rhythm with my editing and am good at problem solving.
I simultaneously worked on two projects for this time and on one of them, a short film called 'Devill' I edited and this film had a lot of flaws which I had to fix in the post production which helped me learn a lot as an editor. I had to completely change large aspects of the film to make it better and cut scenes up completely differently from how they were in the script.
While editing my other project I helped out with another project as assistant director, this entailed making loads of pre production documents and keeping everyone on track while we were on set. This was a very constructive project as it helped me work much better on set with everyone.
This was a documentary that I directed for my second year Uni. We made a documentary about a local woodworker. We had a strong focus on making a nice calm atmosphere which I focused on with my directing.
For my final project in first year I got to edit an actual short film. This was a very off putting psychological film where I really got to get experimental with my editing and I learnt a lot from this.
This was a project for University that we made that was adapting a pre existing script for a TV show called the detectorists. I used my own judgement to re edit a scene that already existed.
A short documentary we made for University about windsurfing. I took the role of lighting technician and helped the camera crew achieve a clean documentary look.
