I am reliable, flexible, trustworthy and can work independently or as part of a busy team. As my most recent roll was within a fast paced kitchen I often had tight deadlines to meet and I pride myself on knowing that these deadlines are always achieved to restaurant quality standard. I am an organised person who ensures my kitchen is kept clean and that paperwork is always up to date.
I am enthusiastic and motivated to bring my knowledge and skills to a new environment and believe I can offer experience and knowledge to become a valued member of the team.

During my time at Magdalen Park Care Home I was responsible for the running of a busy kitchen including managing the team of kitchen assistants. The kitchen worked on a 4 week rolling menu offering a choice of both hot and cold meals for 75+ residents at each service, including vegetarian, fortified, diabetic choices, alongside puree and liquid options when required. Other roles I undertook during my day was stock rotation, placing orders and dealing with the deliveries of stock, menu planning, budgeting, and ensuring that the kitchen was compliant with all policies and procedures including Food Hygiene and CQC Regulations. I also ensured the kitchen was kept clean and tidy with all food items labeled and stored correctly.
From late 2016 - early 2018 I became full time carer for my Mum who was diagnosed with MS & Dementia until she passed away.
I owned and managed a family run Cafe in the market town of Hedon for 13 years before the building the Cafe was situated in was sold by the Landlord and redeveloped. I was responsible for all aspects of running your own business, including keeping all books up to date, filing tax returns as well as running the cafe itself on a fulltime basis. I dealt with cashing up at the end of the day, wages, stock rotation, ordering and deliveries, keeping up to date with policies and procedures and managing a small team of staff.
My time as a cleaner at South Holderness Technology College involved cleaning the school to a high standard and working within a team of cleaners, as well as independently. I ensured that I maintained high standards of cleanliness and hygiene by been thorough within my role. I ensure that waste was properly organised for recycling or disposable and carried out routine checks on cleaning supplies to avoid running out of items.
