I am a hardworking, resilient, enthusiastic person who enjoys the company of others. I am honest, reliable, and I work well as part of a team but also work well independently using my own initiative to complete tasks to a high standard. I feel I am a good listener who has the ability to communicate with people at all levels. As a teacher I worked with groups of children with specific additional needs and vulnerabilities and always ensured I supported them at their own individual level, building trust and respect. As a Trustee at Samphire Star Education Trust, I listen to teachers and school leaders and collaborate with them to ensure high standards of education are maintained and goals are set so that issues can be worked on and rectified. I am comfortable taking direction from others and always willing to adapt to new situations. As a mum to five children, I am also used to planning, prioritising, organising and multi-tasking which I feel stands me in good stead to deal with most tasks. My interests and hobbies include, reading, gardening, keeping fit (I have run many long-distance events including the Lydd 20mile and The London Marathon. I also enjoy Art, cooking and experimenting with different recipes which comes in handy with a big family.
