Engagement and internal communications strategies

  • Designed a colleague communications strategy to embed Nottingham Building Society’s strategic blueprint (purpose, strategy and behaviours).
  • Creative concept and delivery of the ‘Powering our Purpose’ Leader event - an immersive 2 day session to engage leaders in the strategy.
  • Multi channel colleague communication programme to embed the strategy, including monthly Exec and leader led hybrid ‘huddles’ to spotlight progress and a dedicated news channel featuring videos, podcasts and blogs.

Strategic and engagement events

  • Raised the bar on the colleague event experience with the society’s first offsite event in 8 years. ‘Powering our Purpose "POP" Live 23’ was a high value production which immersed colleagues in our strategy and culture. Shortlisted for 'Best Event' at the Institute of Internal Communications Awards 2024 and recognised with an Award of Excellence. Over 75% of 500 colleagues were engaged in strategic priorities, 80% rated event as excellent
  • Enhanced the event experience further with POP Live 24 event in Feb 2024 - working with partner agencies and designers to create the 'Bigger, Bolder, Braver' experience aligned to the Society’s behaviours.

Digital innovation and continuous improvement

  • Deputised for Comms Director at an Executive offsite to pitch and secure approval for a new intranet.
  • Part of the delivery team to embed the new colleague ‘hero channel’ intranet to grow two way communication and engagement.
  • Continuous focus on digital innovation, insight and analytics to enhance engagement through new channels and digital tools.

Strategic storytelling

  • Business partnering with stakeholders at all levels to deepen understanding and recommend strategies and tactics to create a compelling strategic narrative.
  • Strategic planning and forward visibility at Exec meetings to update on progress and their role.

Enhancing culture, inclusivity and engagement

  • Maximising colleague comms channels to support ongoing development of culture, including elevation of our colleague networks.

Change management communication

  • Building communications plans and cascade toolkits to support communication of key business and people change.

Re-brand engagement and embedding

  • Developed the strategy for colleague engagement in the Society's bold new brand identity and brand promise.
  • Led the event squad for 5 brand launch events to ensure colleagues were the first to experience the brand and their central role to live our brand promise.
  • Supported a brand induction process with new tone of voice and behaviours and led a brand embedding campaign including reflections on what the brand promise meant to teams across the society.
