Her main duties and responsibilities
o Performing baseline assessment and re-assessment of all
patients seeking medical attention in Accident and Emergency
Unit including pain assessment by using pain scale.
o Attending to the diagnostic investigations laboratory and X ray
and see to it that the request for such examinations are carried
out and results are available for the evaluation of the physician.
o Identification and immediate referral for any signs or symptoms
of the patient that are life threatening and needs immediate
attention of the doctor.
o Knowledge of invasive and non-invasive procedures e.g.
knowledge of ECG interpretation and dysrhythmias.
o Provides care in a knowledgeable, skillful and consistent manner
and maintains confidentiality of patient information.
o Adheres to Al Hamnah General Hospital dress code and
maintains satisfactory personal appearance and attitude.
o Follows appropriate chain of command and all hospital related
standards, policies and procedures including infection control.
o Participates in the implementation of Quality Assurance
Activities to improve quality patient care services.
o Priorities work load based on patient needs and effectively
completes duties and tasks within a designated time frame.
o Evaluate nursing care given for patients to see if this has been
effective or not and report the defective care to In-charge/Head
Nurse.
o Provides physical, physiological, social and spiritual needs for
patients
Her duties and responsibilities as a Registered Nurse -ICU
are:
• Delivered age-appropriate medical care for adult,
adolescent, and geriatric ICU patients.
• Taking care of post-operative cardiac patients and
management for better outcome

monitored responses while working with healthcare teams
to adjust care plans.
