I am currently a primary school teacher in Glasgow, Scotland, teaching the national curriculum (Curriculum for Excellence).

Key responsibilities and achievements:

• Preparing and creatively delivering Scotland's Curriculum for Excellence (CfE) for primary 3 and 4 children (aged 7 and 8 years old and at key stage 1) in all curricular areas including maths and numeracy, English and literacy, social studies, technologies, and expressive arts.
• Continuously endeavouring to meet the needs of all children (following principles from Scottish Government policies relating to 'getting it right for every child').
• Leading parent/guardian meetings to discuss student attendance, attainment, termly syllabus, and behaviour.
• Undertaking professional learning including a professional enquiry which is presented to the council, inter-disciplinary learning strategies and behaviour management strategies to create a safe and respected nurturing classroom environment.
• Supervising and mentoring Support for Learning Workers (teaching assistants) to build children's confidence and ability in learning, and to cultivate effective classroom environments.
• Establishing strong, supportive relationships with families, encouraging parental involvement to boost children's achievement by incorporating technology (Seesaw) to connect with families outside of school and present children's excellent work.
• By building a welcoming classroom, I am utilising visual aids and displays to support engaging lesson delivery and enhance student understanding. Displays are 70% children's work and 30% teachers, which gives the children a strong sense of pride.
• Being observed by principal teachers and head teachers continuously to reflect on good practise and set development goals to ensure high-quality education remains a top priority.

I worked toward the objective of raising awareness and understanding of the services within NSS and wider NHS by creating and implementing the marking strategy and communications plan.

Key duties and achievements:

• Embedded branding guidelines within communication activities to guarantee consistency and high standards of professionalism.
• Successfully implemented key areas of work to enhance employee wellbeing and motivation; advertising the wellbeing channels and opportunities available to all staff, and seeking team members willing to share their own stories of what brought them to the team, with a shared learning approach.
• Organised town hall events; identifying key speakers, creating the agenda and running order and ensuring digital events are recorded [with consent] and run without technical difficulty.
• Wrote reports including content from a Q&A, and in July 2021 created and published content for a pilot campaign to showcase the National Contact Centre externally.
• Forged positive connections with external stakeholders and key journalists in target media channels.
• Wrote and edited in-house articles, case studies and annual reports.
• Managed PR aspects of potential crisis situations.
• Designed and distributed promotional marketing materials to advertise upcoming public relations events.
• Monitored social media and press coverage for quality and messaging.

Taught English as a Foreign Language to Primary School classes across Hanoi, Vietnam.

• Taught English to children in Vietnam as a fully qualified TEFL (Teaching English as a Foreign Language) teacher.
• Planned and delivered 30 English lessons to Vietnamese students each week, following each school's syllabus.
• This rewarding role saw students improve their English and general confidence.
• Engaged with the community by volunteering with homeless children across Hanoi and tutoring English 1-1 to children who needed additional support.

• Starting as Operations Coordinator I was later promoted to Senior Coordinator to manage a programme portfolio and small team, due to my hard work and achievements
• I delegated tasks, set annual KPI goals and launched new programmes, including the foreground of the BUNAC international internship programmes
• This involved a great deal of market research and managing relationships with key stakeholders worldwide
• I worked with students and professionals from diverse backgrounds, and felt rewarded being able to help students improve their career prospects through UK internships, no matter their background or nationality
• Created new programmes with the Product Team and oversaw their management from proposal to launch, including publishing the new website pages on the CMS, producing handbooks, putting together marketing strategies and key selling points for sales
• Nominated for and attended the STA ‘big bash', the top performer's awards weekend in Ho Chi Minh City 2018, for my contribution to the internship portfolio
• Managed a team of volunteer programme sales representatives
• Mentored direct reports to reach company targets, supported individual development by discussing and implementing goals, and delegated their daily workload
• This included researching and launching new volunteer projects worldwide
• Secured internship placements based on skills and career goals, supporting interns through the experience by delivering welcome presentations, bespoke CV workshops and planning social events
• As their first point of contact when they arrived in-country, ensured their needs and expectations were met efficiently
• Expert on the GAE Tier 5 visa sponsorship and successfully supported customers through the application process, ensuring visas were granted
• Used google analytics and internal systems to track sales and programme statistics
• Gained an understanding of areas in need of improvement and implemented changes accordingly
• Attended networking events such as the BETA parliamentary reception, University fairs and travel exhibitions to network with relevant professionals and increase the internship placement opportunities
• Processed a high number of specific visa applications (J1, IEC, IEP, Working Holiday Australia and New Zealand) to strict deadlines, often with a turnaround of 48 hours.

• I worked for Camp America's head office in London after spending two summers as Head of Equestrian at a camp in the USA
• I processed a high volume of applications, police checks and visa's for worldwide customers, considering safeguarding and child protection
• I became an integral member of the team, supervising my team in the absence of higher management
• I successfully interviewed students and increased their employability by gaining skills at Camp including social skills and independent travel
• I developed relationships with international providers and visa sponsors.

I received the Postgraduate Diploma in (Primary) Education after an intensive year studying the Scottish curriculum alongside Scottish Government education policies.

• Researched and completed a plan for a professional practitioner inquiry which looked at using verbal feedback to develop children's understanding of numeracy and mathematics.
• Worked on placements for early level, first level, and second level (KS1 and 2) across Glasgow, undertaking professional learning alongside teaching the classes.
• Became a reflective practitioner in education which helped develop an understanding of children's outcomes.
• Observed many teachers and classes, gaining a deeper understanding of classroom management strategies and creative ways to deliver the curriculum for each child.

I achieved the Postgraduate Diploma in (Primary) Education in one year. During this intensive course I studied Scottish policies for education including Getting it Right for Every Child, Being Me, Curriculum for Excellence, and undertook a large number of literary studies in order to understand current education systems and how to be the best teacher for children.
